Terms of Service.
The rules for using Vettsafe. Last updated: 1 October 2026.
1. Agreement and who we are
These terms govern your use of the Vettsafe service at vettsafe.com (“the Service”). By logging in and using the Service, you accept them on behalf of your organisation, and confirm you are authorised to do so. Vettsafe provides automated due diligence checks on brokers, solicitors and borrower companies for bridging lenders.
Questions about these terms: contact@vettsafe.com.
2. What the Service does — and does not do
Vettsafe searches public registers (Companies House, the FCA Register, the SRA register and scam alerts, the Law Society directory, the ICO register, The Gazette and trade bodies), presents the results with evidence screenshots and produces a downloadable credit file PDF.
Vettsafe is an information tool. It does not provide legal, financial, credit or compliance advice, and a clear report is not a guarantee that a firm or individual is safe to deal with. You remain responsible for your own lending and due diligence decisions, and for verifying anything a report flags for manual review.
3. Accounts
Accounts are created by us for named users in your organisation — there is no public sign-up. You must keep login credentials secure, let us know promptly if an account is compromised, and only allow people who work for your organisation to use it.
You are responsible for the activity carried out through your accounts.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful business purposes. In particular, you must not:
- attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure;
- resell or redistribute raw register data, screenshots or reports other than as part of your own due diligence files;
- submit personal data you have no lawful basis to process — you are responsible for the names, email addresses and other details you enter for brokers, solicitors, directors and other individuals.
5. Register data and accuracy
Report content is drawn from third-party public registers at the time of the check. We do not control those sources and cannot warrant that register data is accurate, complete or current — registers can change at any time after a check is run. Each report shows the source and the time it was checked, and you should re-check or refresh a report before relying on it.
6. Fees
A one off £999 set up fee applies to all plans. Plan fees are agreed with you in writing when your account is set up. All prices exclude VAT where applicable. Set up fees are non-refundable once onboarding has begun.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the Service available at all times, but checks depend on third-party registers and services which may be slow, rate-limited or temporarily unavailable. Where a source cannot be reached automatically, the report will say so and provide a manual link so the check can be completed by hand. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, and we may suspend the Service briefly for maintenance or security.
8. Intellectual property
The Vettsafe platform, software and brand remain ours. You receive a right to use the Service and the reports and PDFs it produces as part of your own due diligence and credit files, for as long as you are a customer.
9. Liability
We are responsible to you for direct losses caused by our breach of these terms, but not for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, or losses arising from third-party register data or from decisions you make using the Service.
Our total liability in any 12 month period is capped at the fees you paid us in that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Term and termination
The agreement runs while your account is active. You may stop using the Service at any time by written notice to contact@vettsafe.com; we may suspend or end accounts that breach these terms. On ending, we handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it last changed at the top. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you before it takes effect.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
